East Central ISD Teachers Awarded Valero Alamo Bowl Grants

The Valero Alamo Bowl and PNC Bank recently selected three East Central ISD teachers to receive “Extra Yard for Teachers” grants to thank them for going above and beyond for their students. Each teacher was awarded a $500 grant and three tickets to the upcoming Valero Alamo Bowl game in San Antonio on December 28. 

The grants honor educators who are intentional about making a difference in the lives of students. Two of this year’s grant recipients teach in Avenida’s zoned schools, Tradition Elementary and East Central High School. The Valero Alamo Bowl team visited these campuses to present the grants to educators Alexzandria Calderon and Lori Morgenroth in a surprise celebration in front of their students.
